The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has announced the launch of the official website for European Safer Gambling Week 2025 (ESGW25), a major milestone in this year’s preparations for Europe’s leading responsible gaming initiative. The new digital platform will be a central information hub for the campaign, connecting players, regulators, and industry operators in a shared commitment to safer gambling.

Entering its fifth consecutive year, European Safer Gambling Week has evolved into a cornerstone initiative for promoting responsible gambling across the continent. The 2025 edition will take place from 17 to 23 November, uniting a broad coalition of gambling operators, trade associations, regulators, and advocacy groups.

Last year’s campaign reached new heights, engaging 195 organisations across 26 countries and spreading its message to more than 3.1 million people through social media, educational events, and cross-border collaborations. For 2025, organisers hope to build on that success with a stronger focus on accessibility and multilingual resources, as campaign materials will be available in 27 European languages.

Inside the ESGW25 Platform

The newly unveiled website provides a comprehensive gateway to all ESGW25 activities. It offers extensive guidance and educational content for both players and industry professionals. Visitors can explore the growing calendar of events, which includes conferences, workshops, and webinars focusing on player protection, responsible product design, and best practices in safer gambling.

It also hosts a dedicated section for support services, listing national helplines and self-exclusion systems across Europe. These resources allow users to seek confidential help in their own language, an important step toward improving accessibility and trust. In addition, practical tips and responsible gaming advice help players understand how to stay in control and recognise potential signs of risk.

By consolidating these tools into a single platform, the EGBA aims to strengthen the consistency of safer gambling communication across markets, ensuring that both players and operators have access to the same high-quality information.

EGBA’s Broader Commitment

Based in Brussels, the EGBA represents leading licensed and regulated online gambling operators in the European Union. The association works closely with national and EU-level authorities to encourage a transparent and responsible gambling environment while promoting collaboration on consumer protection and digital innovation.
